Hello to all amazing parents who are giving one of the best gifts to your kids: another language. 😊
My name is Patrycja! I'm a Polish mum and together with my Polish husband we live in one of the most beautiful cities in the world: Prague in Czech Republic. 😊 We are raising one little 20 months old monster and awaiting the second one. 😉 A few months ago we shocked our family and friends and one day we started surrounding our son with English. 😉 Today Tomáš understands everything in Polish and English, he started speaking his first words (totally mixed 😂). I'm doing with him also the Doman method (math, Polish, English, Spanish and Czech). We read books in 5 different languages and have real fun. 😊 Next month he will start official education in Czech nursery and I love to watch how he becomes a real world citizen. 😊
For now I don't have any questions. 😊😉😊 Thank you for having me here and congrats one more time to all of you!!! 🎉🎉🎉
Patrycja, welcome! I love Prague, too. I actually lived in Plzen, for two years, many years ago. And I still have a number of good friends in the Czech Republic. I miss it!
It sounds like your multilingual journey is going well. Just keep up your playful persistence and I'm sure you'll continue to experience a lot of rewarding progress over the months and years ahead. I look forward to following your family's adventures.
I hope you enjoy reading the Polish edition of my book, Patrycja! (I saw that you won the giveaway at Instagram!)
**My new book, "28 Bilingual English-Spanish Fairy Tales & Fables", is now available at booksellers worldwide!** Adam Beck is the author of the popular nonfiction books "Maximize Your Child's Bilingual Ability" and "I WANT TO BE BILINGUAL!" (illustrated by Pavel Goldaev) as well as the award-winning humorous novel "How I Lost My Ear" (illustrated by Simon Farrow).
Najwa: My eldest sings and verbalizes his figures/cars stories in an invented language that has English sounds and Italian accent. Is it his way to disconnect from his multilingual world?

Adam Beck: Najwa, it's hard to respond to your question without knowing the full details of the situation. I suggest starting a thread at a suitable board and offering as much information about these circumstances as you can.
