I've recently found a nice audio book in Spanish that I can recommend, it is similar to the first books of Harry Potter, so if your kid enjoys Harry Potter I think they would enjoy this too. The story is not "darker" than Harry Potter, but it is in a forest with some strange creatures, so not suitable for kids that get easily scared.
It is called La leyenda del bosque by Jara Santa Maria. It is situated in the north of Spain and explains a lot of the Basque mythology. It tells the story of three cousins, and the audio book is read by three different people, each making the voice for one of the cousins.
It is hard to find good audio books for older kids in Spanish and this is one I can certainly recommend! (And if you know others please share.)
I found the book in Audible (Amazon) and it is also in Storytel.
What's on your mind right now? Just type and hit "Enter" to share it here!
Mayken: Last night, I couldn't think of the ml word for puffin, and my daughter beat me to it, in a cute way: It's Papageitaucher (literally parrot diver) but she said Tauchpapagei (diving parrot).

Amy: It's a relief to hear you're all safe Adam Beck! Mayken, I loved that cute story and I love how your ml structures its words, it is always so much fun and interesting.

Marisa: "Victory moment:" My almost 4-year-old daughter told me yesterday in the ml (rough translation): "mom, there's something wrong with the cartoons, can you fix it, please?"... she was accidentally watching TV in the ML! So I gladly obliged
