Tips to only borrow ml books from local ML library

Before I made the decision to kick ML from our home (including ML materials) to exclusively expose my daughters to their ml, I used to take my eldest to our local library.
Our local library is obviously all ML but has a really decent children’s foreign book section where I have always borrowed ml books for her. My eldest daughter (4) used to always wander in the children’s ML book section and I always ended up bringing home a couple of ML books in addition to the many ml books I/we had picked. When the time came round to read a ML book, I would read it in ml2 (since my daughter doesn’t read yet, that is handy); if there were any ML DVDs with no ml2 version, I’d usually keep them out of sight so my daughter would forget about them (I’m quite ashamed of this lousy technique ); but for the ML nursery rhyme books with CDs, there was no escape from the ML (she never seemed to forget about these!! ).
Since having established the rule of no ML at home, I have (temporarily) dropped the habit of taking my daughter to the library, firstly to let the newly acquired active use of ml sink in, but also because I don’t know how to handle the situation of my daughter trying to bring ML material home. I would like to start to get her used to picking her books from the ml section but I dread having to impose “rules” as to her choice of books. Especially one based on the language. Inside me, I fear that it might antagonise her against her ml. Make her feel that she is yet again different from other kids who can pick any ML book of their choice; yet again ml is being forced onto her.
Some kids can be quite mature for their age and could understand a simple explanation; unfortunately my daughter is not one of them. Of late, I find her quite sensitive, bursting into tears at the least objection in a discussion. And she is so headstrong. So at the moment, the idea of taking her to the library has become a source of stress.
Do any of you have any suggestions as to how to handle this? Any tips would be welcome.
