THREE POSITIVES
2. There have been some positive signs with my son's communication. He might have said his first two words. He sometimes whispers (papapapa) when his dad comes home. Apart from that his babbling has all been babababa and gagagaga but when holding a favourite toy egg it sounded like the gaga changed to egg (it's the same word in ml). When I ask him 'where is...' there are a few objects he can consistently find. I'm feeling excited about this!
Such an exiting stage!! Keep up the ml environment, you're doing great!

TWO DIFFICULTIES
1. Finding a way to keep count/take note of the times my husband and I revert to ML when my son is there so that I can notice if there is an improvement and learn from the times we lapse.

How about a tally either on a scrap paper at hand or on a little slate? If your a tech person, you could keep the tally on your smartphone.
2. Related to this is finding a way to take note of the things I could be chatting about to my son as we go about our day but don't have the vocabulary for at the moment.
How about describing what you do or what surrounds you? For instance, if you are getting him dressed, naming all the items of clothing, body parts, the movements he needs to do (e.g: put your arm up in the air--doesn't matter if he can't do them on his own, the idea is just to chat

ONE CHALLENGE
1. I'm going to try having ml music, audio books, radio on at least twice every day as I think it will help to keep me mindful of using the ml all the time as well as the other benefits.

That sounds like a great idea!

Good luck!
