Goals for this past week:
- Have my son spend at least 35h and my daughter 40h in the ml. - Half done. They both spent over 35h, but under 40.
- Read to my kids at least 5 days. - Done.
- Have my daughter read at least 6 days in the ml. - Done.
- Try to do puzzles with my son. - I didn't, but I think the English teacher who comes home, did.
- Keep teaching my kids the same song. Be more consistent. - Done, but I haven't been consistent.
- Try to play a board game, at least once, with my daughter. - Not done. As I suspected, it was a busy week.
- Read myself. - Done. I just started reading a new book: "Eleanor Oliphant is completely fine".
D's reading: I got angry with my daughter on Thursday because she was doing everything in her power not to read. We were reading, and she started telling me things about school, pointing at whatever and talking about it, looking at the pictures forever, asking for more food... In the end, I told her she wasn't reading that day, and so I wasn't reading to her either (that's our deal: she reads to me and I read to her). The next day, she had to read the same book, from the beginning, and she did it in no time. I don't get why she insists on wasting time sometimes when she can read this fast. Yesterday, she read one page from our current Isadora Moon book, and I read the rest of the chapter.
Level 6 books: The first ones were about the same length as the ones in level 5, but we have already gotten to the point where they're longer. This is always the case with these books: the first few are as long as the previous level books, the rest are longer. Anyway, I just want her to be exposed to different books while having lots of repetition, so I'm reading the dialogues and she's reading the rest. When there aren't dialogues, I just read bits here and there.
Goals for next week:
- Have my son spend at least 35h and my daughter 40h in the ml.
- Read to my kids at least 5 days.
- Have my daughter read at least 6 days in the ml.
- Try to do puzzles with my son.
- Keep teaching my kids the same song. Try to find a time for it.
- Try to play a board game, at least once, with my daughter.
- Read myself.
Summer schedule: My husband should be home early most days now that it's June, and until the end of September, which makes my life easier. I'll be doing many things I've been postponing until now, especially this week. But I hope his new schedule will allow us to do more things with the kids in the ml. It also helps that my daughter won't have the after-school classes that took place at her school, which only leaves ballet.

I also checked their TV time, and they're both under 10h again (between 8 and 9h). This week will also be busy, which usually means less ml time and less things I can do, but I'll keep trying.
