For Hindi...

Hindi is one of our languages at home (and it's the regional majority language, complemented with Urdu but then again they're essentially dialects of the same language, can we just call it Hindustani and call it a day), and we have been working on finding resources for ourselves and A. Here are some things we've found...
* if you're in India with TATASky, you can switch languages on many programs. This includes Phineas & Ferb and other children's shows that are normally in English, and you can also find the Hindi-language children's shows (Chhota Bheem). Not so great for tiny wee ones, but good for kids who are watching TV.
* Copies of the Panchtantra for kids. Panchtantra = Aesop's Fables (and who knows which came first!), and my local stationary shop had packs of 3, brightly-coloured and illustrated, in kids - level language... which was great for my husband and I, and is something we can read to A.
* Bilingual English/Hindi books. Karadi Tales has some Eric Carle books you can purchase (Very Hungry Caterpillar, Tiny Seed, and Mixed-Up Chameleon).
* Check Slideshare.net, Scribd, and similar sites for projects people may have done for translations of books. I've found Spanish editions of "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" with different translations, depending on the student/teacher who did it for their class; type in the book you would want to look for (in Hindi) and see if you find any hits!
* Music is tricky - I can't find any "learn Hindi for kids" audio (such as you can for French, Mandarin and Spanish), so aside from pop-Bollywood tunes, I'm at a loss here.
