Kia orana!
Maybe one day someone else will have Cook Island Maori as their minority language too! So here's a list of resources for when that day comes! Most are in Rarotongan dialect but if you speak Mauke dialect then Tahitian is very similar so I've included links to Tahitian resources too.

Books
- 'Tupu' series books are available from the NZ Ministry of Education catalogue. You can contact the publisher and purchase at retail price or approach your local school and ask nicely if they will order you some (and possibly get them for free!). There are about 30 different books in the Rarotongan dialect at a variety of levels. Not many early readers but good for reading aloud. You can also order teachers notes in English if needed with an English translation and comprehension questions.

Language websites
- Cook Island Language - hasn't been updated in awhile but some of the activities are useful
- Teaching and Learning Cook Islands Maori - online versions of the Cook Island Maori Language Guidelines and I-E-KO-KO, a resource that has basic vocab and activity sheets. The hard copy version comes with DVDs and an audio CD. Both these resources can be ordered through the Ministry catalogue. I-E-KO-KO is very expensive if bought retail so ask your local school to order it for you and the readers that go with it.
- Tuatua Mai - very basic but a start. Even logged in as member it doesn't seem to have anything harder.
