Yesterday I met Fish and his son Oliver! (Read Fish's introduction.) They live in the city of Kure, a short train ride from Hiroshima. I picked them up at Hiroshima Station and we spent some fun time at my house, listening to Fish play the fiddle (he's very good!) and watching Oliver toddle about the house (he's very cute!).
Here are a few photos...
Thanks again for visiting, Fish and Oliver!
And all of you have an open invitation to visit us, too!

Had a lot of fun with Adam and his family yesterday! They were so welcoming and generous!
Adam, I didn't tell you this, but as I was playing I was secretly looking at all of the great books on your kids playroom bookshelf! Really cool fiction as well as non-fiction stuff. I get the impression that you have a pair of very studious trilingual monkeys at your place! Also, I meant to ask you, what is the title of the googly-eyed frog book that Oliver was briefly distracted by?
Anyway, it was wonderful to finally meet in person. I left feeling so lucky to have a bilingual zoo so close by.
Yeah, you're right. Oliver is definitely more into tearing and smashing than turning pages lately. I can never help scoping out books when I'm over at people's houses though. I definitely took home lots of ideas for books to get for Ollie in the future though!
Mayken: My girl and I are going to see her ml grandma in our ml country for the Easter weekend. (And buy more books!)

Mayken: On the train from Paris to Cologne we sat next to another ml mother and daughter from our school! Only noticed when almost in Cologne. It's a small ML-ml world!

Amy: Got fleeting impression during Skype call with daughter on holiday at grandparents' in ml1 country, that her ml1 pronunciation has improved! She even seemed more confident speaking in ml2!
