Stepdaughter - weekends only

I posted a few months back about having trouble getting my 2 year old to speak the ml (English) with me. After reading Adam's book, I decided to stop speaking the ML (Spanish) in front of my daughter and immediately, my daughter started speaking to me in the ml. Problem solved (at least until she starts kindergarten, but that's another story). I cannot even begin to express my gratitude to Adam and this community! Now I have another question...
I have an almost 7-year-old stepdaughter and today I really started to regret not speaking English with her since the beginning (I met her when she was 2.5), but I am not close with her mom and so I didn't want to assume anything and it never occurred to me how that may affect my future child. My stepdaughter is really great and super smart and I would steal her if I could! Right now, I mostly speak to her in English when she is here on the weekends. For the last two months, I have continued speaking to her in Spanish when my daughter wasn't around, but today I decided that I would speak with her in English even when my daughter isn't around.
My question is... What else can I do or even suggest for her mom (I am now more open to giving her ideas, albeit simple, like maybe an app)? For example, I want to get her some books in English that I will read to her, but what books in English for her level? or What other ideas do you have given that I see her only on the weekends? For now, she understands a lot of the basic things I say based on context and sometimes she will even say things like "this book".
Honestly, I don't have any expectations other than to maximize my time with her and maybe give her mom some ideas... Any ideas are appreciated.
