I have no idea, Raquel, but yes, little one is obsessed! Seeing real buses in the street, through the window, on TV, playing with his toy bus (at Christmas he even put the three wise men figurines in the bus), in books. Good idea, I'll start talking his language, rather than just saying vroom vroom pii pii, lol!
Regarding ML time, yes, I speak to him only in ml. I find myself repeating things in English again sometimes if I want the other mum to understand (sometimes I think I over-complicate myself though, so I'll try to be more blunt in that sense).
Thanks! I just googled how many words a monolingual 18-month-old would know on average just to think: why would I do that? So that's it, I'm not comparing anymore, we are in another league.
Today we had such a nice day, we went to the library for some nurseries sing-along (in ML, but he enjoyed it so much) and then we read some books in ml (well ML books I translate as I read), got some home and he was so interested, i loved it. We read a lot in ml1 today. I wish I could say the same about ml2 but his father arrived very tired from work, so pending for tomorrow.
He is becoming so cheeky and we have quite some laughs with him. I can definitely see he is trying to reach out to us and communicate more. Although tantrums have started too of course!
